'Til The Curtain Falls (My Ode To Cake) — August, 2007

People we trust won't always look out for us.
I've got gray hair,
Most of my teeth,
My knife, though worn, sits in its sheath.
I don't want to leave before the end of the movie.

The laser replaced our flailing type head.
My words flow just the same,
And curiosity's to blame;
I chase ideas instead of names.
And I'm not leaving, before the end of the movie.
I'm not going, before the end of the show.

Their agendas, unfinished, are less important on death beds.
Is your time spent hoping instead of trying,
Years wasted wanting, instead of smiling,
Not laughing, but rather, crying?
Me? I'll keep fucking up, until the end of the movie.
I'll keep learning things, until the end of the show.
